A number of lodges/camps and even some national parks (Hells Gate NP, Kenya) hire mountain bikes by the hour. Most national parks and reserves, however, do not allow their use. Mountain bikes are more usually used on the private conservancies. In Tanzania, mountain biking is particularly popular around Lake Manyara National Park.
