Kenya has strong flying traditions and boasts famous pilots like the aviatrix Beryl Markham, the first woman to fly the Atlantic solo. Wilson Airport in Nairobi, which services small planes is one of the busiest airports in Africa with as many as 450 landings a day in the high season. Flying safaris have gained in popularity as people have less time and wish to spend it in the prime game-viewing areas. Internal flights are reasonably priced and private air charters are also available. |
