Camel rides are offered by some of the safari lodges as well as at the coast. Offering more than just an hourly ride, some lodges will offer camel trekking safaris for the more adventure loving visitors who would enjoy trekking the wilderness with camels for days on end. Usually accompanied by Somali or Samburu tribesmen, the camels make the ideal form of transport in the arid northern frontier districts.
