Deep-sea fishing takes place along the coastline of Kenya and is particularly
thrilling between October and March, when there are opportunities to land
record marlin, mako shark and sailfish, as well as plethora of game fish
includsing kingfish, bonito, felusi and black-runner.
During this period regular competitions are held in which overseas visitors
are encouraged to participate. Kenya's finest fishing is to be enjoyed in
the Pemba Channel, with outstanding equipment and crews provided by the
Pemba Channel Fishing Club. There is also excellent fishing at Watamu, where
Hemingways offers fine facilities.
