MobileSafaris

African Horizons Mobile Tented Safaris take you off the beaten track and into the African bush. We set up camp at sites that offer privacy and access to game viewing areas, which have been selected for their beauty and abundance of wildlife. The camps consist of sleeping, dining, kitchen and staff tents with toilet and hot water shower annexes. The spacious, airy sleeping tents have ample headroom and are completely insect proof, with a high outer fly and small shaded veranda. They are furnished with comfortable beds, bedside tables and chairs.

The camp is set up and ready before your arrival and is taken down and relocated once you have left. Usually the relocation is combined with one or two nights at a safari lodge before going back into the camp at the new location.

Game drives are carried out in the comfort of special safari vehicles, which allow you an unobstructed view of the surroundings. Alternatively, in some areas you may go on nature walks lead by knowledgeable guides. Meals are prepared by the camp cook on open charcoal fires and are normally  served in camp but can also be enjoyed out in the bush.

In the evening before retiring to your tent, you will most probably choose to spend some magical moments sitting around the blazing campfire set under the ink black sky. As you enjoy a nightcap and conversation, you will hear the many exciting sounds of the African night. Overhead, stars sparkle in the heavens like diamonds, the air is cool and crisp and all around is beautiful, unspoiled wilderness.
